Toasted Chili Nuts

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 2 cups walnut or pecan halves or pieces

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan combine margarine or butter, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion salt, and ground red pepper. Heat and stir until the margarine or butter melts.
  2. Spread the nuts in a 9x9x2-inch baking pan and toss with the margarine mixture.
  3. Bake at 350 F for 12 to 15 minutes or until toasted, stirring occasionally.
  4. Spread on foil and cool. Store in an airtight container.
