
Tartar Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet or dill pickle or sweet or dill pickle relish, drained
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon snipped parsley
- 1 tablespoon diced pimientos
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl combine 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing; 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet or dill pickle or sweet or dill pickle relish, drained; 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion; 1 tablespoon snipped parsley; 1 tablespoon diced pimientos; and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
- Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving. Store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks. Serve with fish or seafood.
- Low-Fat Tartar Sauce: Prepare as above, except substitute 2/3 cup reduced-calorie mayonnaise or salad dressing and 1/3 cup plain yogurt for the mayonnaise. Omit lemon juice.
