Ingredients
- 1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup
- 1/2 cup orange or pineapple juice
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 16-ounce package (8 or 10) frankfurters, bias-sliced into 1-inch pieces, or 1 pound cocktail wieners
- 2 cups small frozen whole onions
Instructions
- In a saucepan combine syrup, juice, vinegar, cornstarch, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Stir in frankfurters and onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, 8 minutes or till onions are tender.
- Microwave directions: In a 2-quart casserole micro-cook first six ingredients, uncovered, on 100% power (high) 3 to 5 minutes or till thickened and bubbly, stirring every minute. Stir in frankfurters and onions. Cook on high for 6 to 8 minutes or till onions are tender; stir once.
