Sour Cream Fruit Dip

An easy chilled apricot or peach dip for fresh fruit. Transcribed from Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book, 10th edition (1989), printed page 12.

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce carton dairy sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup apricot or peach preserves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Apple, pear, or peach slices
  • Lemon juice for brushing fruit (optional)

Instructions

  1. Stir together the sour cream or yogurt, preserves, and cinnamon, cutting up any large pieces of fruit in the preserves.
  2. Chill for up to 24 hours. Serve with fruit slices; brush the slices with lemon juice if desired to preserve their appearance.
