Nutty Cheese Spread

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons snipped parsley
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • Celery sticks, apple slices, * assorted crackers, or melba toast rounds

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl bring cream cheese and Swiss or cheddar cheese to room temperature. Add walnuts, milk, parsley, and onion powder. Stir till combined. Cover and chill up to 24 hours.
  2. To serve, spread on celery sticks, apple slices, crackers, or melba toast rounds.
  3. *Note: Brush apple slices with lemon juice or ascorbic-acid color keeper, if desired.
