
Mustard-Glazed Ribs

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 to 3 pounds meaty pork loin back ribs or spareribs
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup prepared mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Cut ribs into single-rib portions. In a bowl combine 2 tablespoons brown sugar, paprika, turmeric, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Rub mixture over ribs. Roast ribs, meaty side up, in a shallow roasting pan in a 350° oven for 1 hour.
- For a sauce, in a saucepan combine the remaining brown sugar, onion, vinegar, mustard, celery seed, and garlic powder. Bring to boiling, stirring till sugar dissolves.
- Drain fat from pan. Brush ribs with sauce. Roast 30 to 45 minutes more or till done, brushing frequently with sauce.
