  1. Place the meat in an 8x8x2-inch baking dish. (Add 1/2 cup water to canned ham.)
  2. Cover with waxed paper.
  3. Micro-cook on the suggested power level(s) for the cooking time(s) specified or till heated through, turning meat occasionally.
  4. If necessary, shield any parts that are overcooking with small pieces of foil. (Check your owner's manual to see if you can use foil in your microwave oven.)
  5. 1-inch slice, one 2-pound: Cook on 100% power (high) for 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Canned ham, one 3-pound: Cook on 100% power (high) for 5 minutes, then on 50% power (medium) for 40 to 50 minutes.
  7. Canned ham, one 5-pound: Cook on 100% power (high) for 7 minutes, then on 50% power (medium) for 50 to 60 minutes.
