Lemon-Buttered Turnips

Ingredients
- 3 medium turnips (1 pound)
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 1 green onion, sliced, or
- 2 tablespoons snipped parsley
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Peel turnips and cut into 1/2-inch cubes or 2x1/4-inch sticks. Cook, covered, in a small amount of boiling water for 10 to 12 minutes or till crisp-tender.
- Drain. Stir in margarine or butter, sliced green onion or snipped parsley, and lemon juice.
- Season to taste.
