
Hot Cheese Dip

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon, crushed
- 1 tablespoon margarine or butter
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 3/4 cup beer or milk
- 2 cups shredded American cheese
- 1 3-ounce package cream cheese, cut up
- French bread cubes or tortilla chips
Instructions
- In a saucepan cook the green onion, garlic, and tarragon in margarine or butter.
- Stir in cornstarch. Add the beer or milk all at once and cook, stirring, until thickened and bubbly.
- Gradually add the cheeses, stirring until melted. Serve with bread cubes or tortilla chips.
