Glazed Patties

Ingredients
- 1 beaten egg
- 3/4 cup soft bread crumbs (1 slice)
- 1/3 cup raisins or snipped dried apricots (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1/2 pound ground fully cooked ham
- 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons orange juice or water
Instructions
- Combine egg; bread crumbs; raisins, if desired; onion; and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Add meat and mix well. Shape meat mixture into four 1/2-inch thick patties.
- For glaze, in an 8x8x2-inch baking dish combine brown sugar and flour. Stir in orange juice or water. Place patties in dish with glaze.
- Bake in a 375° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or till juices run clear, spooning glaze over patties after 15 minutes. Remove patties from dish. Spoon glaze and spoon over meat.
