
Fresh-Fruit Bowl

Ingredients
- 2 medium oranges
- 1/3 cup sugar or honey
- 1/2 teaspoon finely shredded lemon or lime peel
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ginger, or nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups cubed honeydew melon, cantaloupe, or papaya
- 1 cup halved strawberries or seedless green grapes; peeled, sliced kiwi fruit; or sliced carambola (star fruit)
- 1 cup blueberries or raspberries
- Fruit-flavored yogurt (optional)
- Toasted coconut or toasted slivered almonds (optional)
Instructions
- Over a bowl, peel and section oranges, reserving juice. Combine reserved juice, sugar or honey, lemon or lime peel, lemon or lime juice, and cinnamon, ginger, or nutmeg. In a large serving bowl place all the fruit except berries. Drizzle juice mixture over fruit. Cover and chill for 2 to 24 hours.
- To serve, stir in berries. Top with yogurt and coconut or almonds, if desired.
- For a tropical flavor, choose the papaya and kiwi fruit or carambola.
