Ingredients
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1/4 cup dairy sour cream
- 2 teaspoons white wine vinegar or white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 to 2 tablespoons milk (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl stir together mayonnaise or salad dressing, sour cream, vinegar, mustard, basil, oregano, salt, and garlic powder. Cover and store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks. If necessary, stir in milk to make of desired consistency.
- Creamy Garlic Dressing: Prepare above, except omit oregano and garlic powder. Add 2 cloves garlic, minced.
- Creamy Parmesan Dressing: Prepare above, except omit the dry mustard, dried oregano, and salt. Stir in 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese and, if desired, 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper.
