Instructions
- Different sausages are cooked differently. Here's how to cook each one.
- Uncooked patties: Place 1/2-inch-thick sausage patties in an unheated skillet. Cook over medium-low heat 10 to 12 minutes or till juices run clear, turning once. Drain well. Or, arrange 1/2-inch-thick patties on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Bake in a 400° oven about 15 minutes or till juices run clear.
- Uncooked links: Place 1- to 1 1/4-inch-diameter sausage links in an unheated skillet. Add 1/2 inch water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or till juices run clear. Drain. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes more or till browned, turning often.
- Place 3/4-inch-diameter links in an unheated skillet. Cook over medium-low heat 10 to 15 minutes; turn often.
- Fully cooked links: Place in a saucepan. Cover with cold water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes or till heated through.
