Ingredients
- 3/4 cup water (for each 6-ounce cup)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons ground coffee (for each 6-ounce cup)
Instructions
- Drip Coffee: Line a coffee basket with a filter. Measure the coffee into the lined basket.
- For electric drip coffee makers, pour cold water into upper compartment. Place pot on heating element; let water drip through basket.
- For nonelectric drip coffee makers, pour boiling water over coffee in basket. Let water drip into pot.
- When coffee is finished dripping, remove basket; discard grounds. Keep warm over low heat.
- Percolator Coffee: Pour water into a percolator. Stand the stem and basket firmly in pot. Measure ground coffee into basket. Replace basket lid and cover the water to boiling. Boil gently for 5 to 8 minutes. Let coffee stand. Perk for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove basket from pot. Keep coffee warm.
