
Chili-Mac Skillet

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 15 1/2-ounce can red kidney beans, drained
- 8-ounce can tomato sauce
- 7 1/2-ounce can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 cup elbow macaroni
- 4-ounce can diced green chili peppers, drained
- to 3 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
Instructions
- In a large skillet cook meat and onion till meat is brown. Drain fat.
- Stir in beans, tomato sauce, drained tomatoes, uncooked pasta, green chilies, chili powder, garlic salt, and 1/4 cup water.
- Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover; simmer 20 minutes, stirring often.
- Top with cheese. Cover; heat 2 minutes or till cheese melts.
