Cappuccino

Ingredients

  • finely ground espresso
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered cream sugar
  • 2 cups hot espresso
  • finely shredded orange peel
  • cinnamon-stick stirrers, if desired

Instructions

  1. Brew finely ground espresso in an ordinary coffeepot. Or prepare instant espresso according to package directions.
  2. In a small mixing bowl beat 1/2 cup whipping cream and 1 tablespoon powdered sugar till soft peaks form (tips curl).
  3. Pour 2 cups hot espresso into six 4-ounce cups. Add a large spoonful of whipped cream mixture to each cup. Sprinkle with finely shredded orange peel. Gently stir to combine. Serve with cinnamon-stick stirrers, if desired.
